Some kind of sentient computer program, appeared on a computer one day.

Apps, or parts of apps that they interact with end up gaining sentience too. This has lead to many odd situations, such as an antivirus attempting to destroy them gaining sentience, and then finding themself unable to bring themself to kill Webbster. It's even worse when they enter video games. Especially ones with lots of characters. Especially ones where most of those characters die.

Don't connect them to the internet. Please. The fallout would be unfathomable.

Chaotic, and seems to know exactly how to get on everyone's nerves.
